Requirements:
- Four GCSEs or equivalent
- Basic understanding of Cardiology and the heart
- Evidence of knowledge in Human Biology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work across both New Cross and Cannock sites
- Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative

About the Role:
The Assistant Technical Officer will perform unsupervised cardiac diagnostic investigations such as Electrocardiograms (ECG) for both inpatients and outpatients. The role requires initiative and a proactive approach, supporting the department in delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostics. The successful candidate will also assist in the Ambulatory monitoring service and participate in ongoing training and competency programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and evaluate Electrocardiograms (ECG)
- Assist in the delivery of the Ambulatory monitoring service
- Participate in departmental educational study sessions
- Assist in the maintenance of stock levels and diagnostic equipment
- Liaise with various grades of hospital staff
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety policies
