    Requirements:

    • Four GCSEs or equivalent
    • Basic understanding of Cardiology and the heart
    • Evidence of knowledge in Human Biology
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work across both New Cross and Cannock sites
    • Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative

    About the Role:

    The Assistant Technical Officer will perform unsupervised cardiac diagnostic investigations such as Electrocardiograms (ECG) for both inpatients and outpatients. The role requires initiative and a proactive approach, supporting the department in delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostics. The successful candidate will also assist in the Ambulatory monitoring service and participate in ongoing training and competency programs.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform and evaluate Electrocardiograms (ECG)
    • Assist in the delivery of the Ambulatory monitoring service
    • Participate in departmental educational study sessions
    • Assist in the maintenance of stock levels and diagnostic equipment
    • Liaise with various grades of hospital staff
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health and safety policies
